I am Wes Gudgy. I ran crews for a large landscape company in Raleigh for ten years and learned two things: customers hate not knowing the price, and a crew that changes every week never learns a yard. So in 2019 I bought a used Scag and a trailer and started with the yards of people I already knew in Apex.

Gudgy is my grandmother's name. There have been Gudgys around Apex since before the bypass, which is why half our first customers already knew where to send the check.

Today it is me, Marco, Dee and Tyler. Marco has been here since the first summer and runs the second truck. Dee handles beds and plantings and has opinions about azaleas you will hear if you ask. Tyler is the one on the edger. Nobody is a subcontractor.

We serve five towns because that is how far you can drive and still finish twelve yards a day without racing. When a customer in Garner asks, we say no and give them a name. Small on purpose is the whole business plan.
